The “Meeting Adult Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Individuals” Online Workshop organised by Institute of Mental Health of Castle Peak Hospital was successfully held on 26 and 27 August 2021. Around 130 mental health care professionals participated in the event. We were honoured to invite Dr. Rachel POON, well-known clinical psychologist, Adjunct Associate Professor from the Department of Psychology of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy, to be our speaker.
In the workshop, Dr. POON provided an overview on the conditions of adult ASD individuals. Through skill demonstrations and case sharing, participants gained valuable and up-to-date knowledge in supporting and managing grown-ups with ASD.
