Since 2002, the Hong Kong Council of Social Services has launched a Caring Company Scheme to foster effective and mutually beneficial partnership relationships among the business and social service sectors. Castle Peak Hospital has demonstrated good corporate citizenship in the following three areas - Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees and Caring for the Environment.
Wastewi$e Label (Membership no.: WW-9331-2792)
The Wastewi$e Label is a recognition scheme established to encourage Hong Kong businesses / organisations to adopt measures to reduce waste generated during operation / service provision or product manufacturing; and recognise the waste reduction efforts of those companies. Castle Peak Hospital has fulfilled the requirements of the Scheme and is authorised to use the Wastewi$e Label ("Class of Good"). The logo demonstrates hospital's exceptional leadership within the environmental arena and can be used for publicising hospital's achievements regarding waste reduction.
Energywi$e Certificate
The Energywi$e Certificate is established to encourage Hong Kong businesses / organisations to adopt measures to save energy within their establishments, and to recognise their energy saving efforts. Castle Peak Hospital has achieved the energy conservation standards and goals, and adopted energy reduction measures covering the key energy consuming facility categories. The Certificate is granted to show the hospital’s achievements in energy conservation.
Carbon Reduction Certificate
The Carbon Reduction Certificate aims to encourage carbon reduction efforts in the community, and to recognise buildings or organisations that achieved a verified absolute reduction of overall carbon emissions. Castle Peak Hospital has fulfilled the requirements through the efficient use of utilisations with hospital operations, and is awarded the Carbon Reduction Certificate in recognition of the Hospital’s achievements of carbon footprint reduction and the contributions to environmental protection.
Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence
The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence aims to encourage business and organisations to adopt green management, benchmark their commitments towards best practices within their sectors, and recognise and acknowledge the efforts of leading businesses and organisations. Castle Peak Hospital was presented the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence in recognising her efforts and dedication in environmental protection.

The Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification (HKGOC) aims to benchmark green organisations with substantial achievement in green management, to encourage participants to adopt environmental practices in different aspects and to recognise their efforts and commitments to the environment. It is a prestigious certification scheme with high credibility. It also encourages participants to strive for self-improvement in specific environmental aspects. The recognised green organisations will be granted the title of Hong Kong Green Organisation (HKGO).
