Tuen Mun Hospital is a major hospital of New Territories West Cluster, Hospital Authority. Other hospitals including Pok Oi Hospital, Tin Shui Wai Hospital, Castle Peak Hospital and Siu Lam Hospital are also serving in the cluster.

Tuen Mun Hospital is an acute hospital with a designed capacity of about 2,000 beds serving Tuen Mun New Town and the northwest regions of the New Territories. The Hospital started admitting patients on 8 March 1990. The Day Procedure Unit was opened in November 1990 to provide day care services to patients. The 24-hour accident & emergency service commenced in January 1992.

- Clinical Oncology - Clinical Pathology - Community Nursing Service
- Ear, Nose & Throat - Intensive Care - Medicine & Geriatrics
- Neurosurgery - Obstetrics & Gynaecology - Ophthalmology
- Orthopaedics & Traumatology - Paediatrics & Adolescent Medicine - Primary & Community Health Care
- Radiology & Nuclear Medicine - Rehabilitation Services - Surgery

A full range of allied health services is also provided, including Dietetics, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Prosthetic-orthotic Services, Speech Therapy, Podiatry and Clinical Psychology.
