Introduction

Through various treatment activities and media, occupational therapy aims to minimise patients' deterioration, maximise their body functions and enhance their quality of life.

Scope of Services

Comprehensive assessment is provided, including sensorimotor, cognition, psychosocial and functioning assessment. According to patients' individual needs, a variety of interventions would be delivered such as

• Seating device design, fabrication and maintenance
• Splintage
• Assistive device design and fabrication
• Hand function training
• Perceptual-motor training
• Oral-motor training
• Life skills training e.g. ADL training, self-feeding, wheelchair manoeuvre, etc.
• Sensory stimulation
• Challenging behaviour management
• Wellness programme e.g. horticultural activities
• Home visits, home modification and carer training
