The Secretariat, Community & Public Relations Section:

• Provides secretarial support to hospital committees e.g. Hospital Governing Committee, Cluster Management Committee & Cluster Medical Committee;
  
• Organizes Student Attachment Programme;
  
• Co-ordinates community projects such as Central & Western District Health Festival etc.;
  
• Co-ordinates fund raising functions, hospital events and ceremonies;
  
• co-ordinates donation and sponsorship matters;
  
• Co-ordinates donation and sponsorship matters;
  
• Co-ordinates hospital visits;
  
• Handles media enquiries & co-ordinates interview, filming, or photo-taking, etc.
  
• Enhances communication between cluster hospitals, district councils, and other government departments.

The Student Volunteer Attachment Programme is designed to provide attachment opportunities for Pre-university and University students who are interested in gaining general knowledge and some hands-on experience in hospital work.
