Patient Resource Centre

Introduction

Queen Elizabeth Hospital Patient Resource Centre (PRC) and Cancer Patient Resource Centre (CPRC) were established in 1993 and 1995. Base on the belief of "Share and Care" & "Patient centered".

We provide disease-related information and continuous psychosocial support services to our chronic, cancer patients and their care-givers, to enhance their ability to manage the disease, and to facilitate the mutual help and support network during their rehabilitation journey.

Scope of Services

1. Patient & Carer Empowerment & Support
   PRCs organize programs with clinical teams to enhance education, disease management and psychosocial support for patients/ carers, equipment loan service would also be provided.
2. Support to Patient Groups
   Facilitate development and nurturing of self-help group and mutual support networks for patients and their carers.
3. Volunteer Services and Development
   Develop, coordinate and monitor volunteer services, provide training and support for volunteers.
4. Community engagement and partnership
   Build up platforms for the involvement of community partners and service users to contribute in HA healthcare services.
