Mission and Values

To support the corporate and hospital objectives of delivering quality healthcare to the community in a cost effective manner through the use of proven information technology as a key enabling tool.
To deliver reliable, accurate, stable and secure information services to KCC within the obtainable resources and through the use of HA coporate-wide policies and standards.
To provide professional advice, quality service, support and training in all aspects of information technology to KCC.


Scope of Services

ITD supports management in the provision of IT services for KCC and to match the hospital's direction and implementation of IT systems.
IT services are governed by IT Committees including the IT Core Group that coordinates on IT planning and monitoring of existing systems and development of future IT projects.
The System Services Section coordinates on IT policies & standards, business requirement analysis, IS evaluation and selection, HAHO system roll out, application development and business process reengineering.
The Technical Services Section is responsible for IT product requisition approval, computer product evalutation & upgrade, LAN & e-mail administration, server and database administration, WEB administration, PC software training and capacity planning & resource management.
The Operational Services Section's role is manage the KCC/ITD Help Desk, System Administration, the Computer Data Centre(CDC) and Training Centre Administration, Hardware and Software Inventory, Document Filing and Disaster Recovery Planning.
