Non-emergency Ambulance Transfer Service

Provides point-to-point transfer service for patients at times of admission, transfer to another hospital, discharge, and follow-up at specialist outpatient clinics.

Target patients

Mobility-handicapped (e.g. stretcher-bound; wheelchair-bound and residence not accessible by lift; elderly who live alone and rely on walking aid), mentally or sensorily impaired (e.g. visually impaired and not assisted by family and friends upon discharge) patients who are unable to use transportation such as bus, taxi, old age home vehicles and Rehabus.

Application procedures

Patients who wish to use the service can inform staff of the specialist outpatient clinic or ward. Those who have been assessed by healthcare staff as meeting the above criteria would be provided transfer between their residence and the hospital at no charge.
