Department of Clinical Oncology

Department profile

We provide quality cancer care ranging from active treatment to palliative and psychosocial care and hospice services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, through a multi-disciplinary approach by a dedicated team of medical oncologists, haematological oncologists, clinical oncologists, palliative medicine specialists, nurses, radiation therapists, mould laboratory and workshop technicians and medical physicists.

We have three inpatient wards, a specialist outpatient oncology clinic, an ambulatory cancer care centre, a minor operating theatre and endoscopy room. We are equipped with five linear accelerators, an integrated brachytherapy unit, a superficial X-ray unit, and RT and CT simulators, which allow us to provide high-tech radiation therapy ranging from 3D conformal to intensity modulated radiotherapy, image guided radiotherapy and stereotactic radiation.

Our Hospice Centre under the Li Ka Shing Foundation Hospice Service Programme provides holistic palliative care and psychosocial support to cancer patients.
