There
are three main types of wound in MMRC, they are surgical wound,
external fixator and pressure sore. Our Nurse Specialist, Nursing
Officer and Rehabilitation Consultant will assess wounds regularly.
We have different kinds of dressing materials to promote wound healing.
We have standard ulcer chart and documentation for monitoring wound
condition. Nurses will also teach the patients and their relatives
about wound care, so that they can manage their wound during home
leave and after discharge. If the wound didn't have any improvement
after long term care, we will refer cases to orthopaedic surgeon
for surgical intervention.
