The Hospital Authority Convention 2014
The scientific programme of the Hospital Authority (HA) Convention 2014 will focus on the HA's core values, viz.“People-centred Care”, “Professional Service”, “Committed Staff”, “Teamwork”. The Convention aims to promote the sharing of knowledge and experience on clinical advances and approaches to modern healthcare service, and facilitates exploration and discussion of contemporary concepts among healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
Hospital Authority Convention 2014 will feature some 90 distinguished overseas and local speakers to share their knowledge and insights and interact with delegates at over 45 sessions. The Plenary Sessions and Symposiums will focus on the four HA values while the Special Topic Sessions will include topics on "China Healthcare", "New Clinical Practices", " Healthcare Policy and Management" and "Medical Simulation". There will also be Masterclasses and Parallel Sessions on various clinical topics, such as "Respiratory Medicine", “Chronic Disease Management”, "End of Life Care" and "Food Poisoning".
About the Hospital Authority Convention
Since 1993, the Hong Kong Hospital Authority has been organising this signature event every year to promote sharing of experience among healthcare professionals. The Hospital Authority Convention held in May 2013 was attended by 4,500 clinicians and healthcare professionals, including staff of the Hospital Authority and healthcare managers and executives from Mainland China, Hong Kong and overseas.
