Since 2002, the Hong Kong Council of Social Services has launched a Caring Company Scheme to foster effective and mutually beneficial partnership relationships among the business and social service sectors. Castle Peak Hospital has demonstrated good corporate citizenship in the following three areas - Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees and Caring for the Environment.

Carbon"Less" Certificate

The Carbon"Less" Certificates scheme, a recognition scheme of Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, aims to recognize those buildings or organizations that achieved a verified absolute reduction of overall carbon emissions. Castle Peak Hospital has fulfilled the requirements of the Scheme and is authorised to use the Carbon"Less" Logo, in recognising the hospital's achievement in 22% carbon footprint reduction against the baseline and implementation of effective measures regarding environmental protection.

Wastewi$e Label (Membership no.: WW-9331-2792)

Wastewi$e Label

The Wastewi$e Label is a recognition scheme established to encourage Hong Kong businesses / organisations to adopt measures to reduce waste generated during operation / service provision or product manufacturing; and recognise the waste reduction efforts of those companies. Castle Peak Hospital has fulfilled the requirements of the Scheme and is authorised to use the Wastewi$e Label ("Class of Good"). The logo demonstrates hospital's exceptional leadership within the environmental arena and can be used for publicising hospital's achievements regarding waste reduction.

The Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence aims to encourage business and organisations to adopt green management, benchmark their commitments towards best practices within their sectors, and recognise and acknowledge the efforts of leading businesses and organisations. Castle Peak Hospital was presented the Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence in recognising her efforts and dedication in environmental protection.

Friends of EcoPark

Friends of EcoPark

EcoPark is a waste management facilities of the Environmental Protection Department, provides long term land and facilities for use by the recycling and environmental industry. Friends of EcoPark is a scheme encouraging partnership development among tenants in EcoPark and other organisations/ companies, and provide practical supports to the tenants for operation of their recycling and recovery business in EcoPark. Castle Peak Hospital provides plastic waste to Yan Oi Tong EcoPark Plastic Resources Recycling Centre since May 2010.

Earth Partner (Mercury)

Earth Partner (Mercury)

Earth Partner is a charitable environmental programme organised by Friends of the Earth. It aims at educating, arousing environmental awareness, as well as offering a platform to the participating organisations in order to reinforce a green mindset and attitude. Castle peak Hospital is authorised to use the "Mercury" Earth Partner Logo, in recognising her close collaboration with FoE (HK) in the past years to strengthen environmental awareness through her network.

Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme - Gold Award

Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2016

The Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) and the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) co-organise the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme (Recognition Scheme) to show appreciation to businesses and organisations which have made their websites accessible, with an aim to encourage adoption of web accessibility to facilitate access to online information and services by all segments of the community including persons with disabilities. Gold Award owners have achieved all 13 judging criteria under Silver Category and all 11 judging criteria under Gold Category to incorporate basic and key web accessibility features.

Social Capital Builder Award

The Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) launched the "Social Capital Builder Award" in 2012 to recognise and commend enterprises which practise the spirit of good social capital building. CIIF assesses the achievements of enterprises by six core social capital outcomes, namely Social Networks, Trust and Solidarity, Social Participation, Information and Communication, Social Cohesion and Inclusion, and Mutual-help and Reciprocity. Nominated by its community partner, Castle Peak Hospital had achieved the required outcomes and was awarded the "Social Capital Builder Award".

Hong Kong Green Organisation Logo

The Hong Kong Green Organisation Certification (HKGOC) aims to benchmark green organisations with substantial achievement in green management, to encourage participants to adopt environmental practices in different aspects and to recognise their efforts and commitments to the environment. It is a prestigious certification scheme with high credibility. It also encourages participants to strive for self-improvement in specific environmental aspects. The recognised green organisations will be granted the title of Hong Kong Green Organisation (HKGO).
