The first aid class was conducted on 28 September 2019 with the participation of Tai Po residents, providing hands-on practice for first aid treatment including Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation techniques and the application of Automated External Defibrillator.

Painting Exhibition showcased paintings by patients and their relatives
The Hospital invited a Chinese painting teacher, who volunteered to teach the patients and their relatives, aiming to relieve their anxiety, boost self-confidence and rebuild a meaningful life through the art therapy. An exhibition showcasing the paintings of patients and relatives was organized in the Exhibition Hall of the Hong Kong city Hall from 18 to 21 May 2019.

Elderly Supportive Programme 2018-19
In collaboration the Salvation Army Tai Po Integrated Service Centre and Social Welfare Department, the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and Tai Po Hospital organized the Elderly Supportive Programme featuring home visit, health promotion activities and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony on 23 February 2019. Staff members from the Department of Psychiatry, Medical Social Work Department, Physiotherapy Department, Occupational Therapy Department and Community Nursing Services Team volunteered at the event, offering health check, health talk and demonstrating Baduanjin class for Tai Po residents.

Visit by the Tai Po District Council Members
The Tai Po District Council members visited the Specialist Outpatient Clinic, Serene Teen ˇV Holistic Child and Youth Wellness Centre cum Training Centre and the Combined Heat and Power System in the Hospital, and had a tea gathering with the hospital management to learn about our services and operations.

Talk on Stroke Prevention and Management cum Sharing Session with Patients
A health talk on stroke prevention and management was organized, in order to raise the public awareness about the acute stroke management, namely F.A.S.T., that facial expressions of the patients are asymmetrical, they will experience weakness in the limbs and difficulties in communicating with others and should call 999 for immediate assistance. Members of various patient groups were invited to attend the talk and share their views on the hospital services with the hospital management.

Community Weight Management Programme, which featured health talks, dietitiansˇ¦ consultation and follow-up, exercise demonstration by physiotherapist and healthy cooking tips given by the Catering Department of the Hospital was organized by the Hospital, aiming to help citizens manage weight and stay healthy.

Donor Appreciation Ceremony
2017 and 2018 were the momentous years for the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital (AHNH) and Tai Po Hospital (TPH) respectively; the former celebrated its 130th anniversary and 20th year of relocation to Tai Po, and the latter marked its 20th anniversary. The Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Charity Foundation took this opportunity to raise fund for AHNH and TPH from Nov 2017 to Feb 2018, establishing a fundraising committee with the participation of various community leaders and hospital representatives. In order to express profound gratitude to over 600 donors who donated for this fundraising activity, the Donor Appreciation Ceremony was held 7 July 2018.
